Creating these delicious, easy deviled eggs, which are perfect for parties, potlucks, or even dinner, require minimal effort and time. The filling of the Southern-style basic deviled eggs is composed of simple ingredients such as egg yolks, mayonnaise, mustard, and sweet pickle relish.

For a serving size of 4, the ingredients needed will include 6 eggs, ¼ cup of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon of yellow mustard, and ⅛ teaspoon of salt and black pepper. This will only take approximately 35 minutes to make.

First off, place eggs in a saucepan and cover them with enough water, so that there is 1 and ½ inches of water rising above the eggs. Turn the heat on high until the water begins to boil and then cover the pan. Turn the heat to low and let the eggs cook for 1 minute. Turn off the heat and leave the eggs in the pan covered for 14 minutes. Remove the eggs out of the pan and rinse them under cold water continuously for 1 minute.

Crack the egg shells and carefully peel under the cool running water. Gently dry the eggs with a paper towel. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise, remove the yolks into a bowl, and place the remaining sliced whites on a serving platter. Mash the yolks into a fine paste using a fork or spoon. Add the mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper into the bowl with the yolks and mix well.

Finally, evenly disperse the yolk mixture into the egg whites and enjoy!
