Since former president Donald Trump’s booking at an Atlanta jail on Aug. 24, his mugshot — which has since been released publicly — had raised $7.1 million for his presidential campaign as of Aug. 26. After Trump had been taken into custody, his online store began selling shirts, posters, bumper stickers and beverage coolers bearing the image, with prices for the items ranging from $12 to $34.

Throughout much of Trump’s process of being indicted of several crimes in relation to the 2020 election, his campaign has been fundraising far more money than his previous campaign. During the month of August alone, Trump’s campaign has raised more than $20 million — more than half of what Trump raised during his first seven months in the 2024 race.
