After seeing multiple pictures on social media of Ding Tea’s drinks, I was excited to go to their newest store in El Monte. Ding Tea is a recipient of the Superior Taste Award, so I had high expectations for the quality of their drinks.
The shop features a minimalistic design that emates a fresh, clean environment. It is decorated with potted plants and painted to a white and grey color scheme. Soft pop music played throughout the store, creating a peaceful yet ideal environment to talk and catch up with friends.
The store serves a wide variety of drinks, such as teas, juices, coffees, and yogurts. Ding Tea distinguishes itself from other boba shops by allowing customers to select the level of sweetness and the amount of ice in their drinks. This feature gives customers the opportunity to personalize their drinks and satisfy their taste preferences. The menu also offer various toppings for an extra cost within a range of 55 to 75 cents. For a large size of 700 millimeters, rather than the usual 500, an additional charge of 55 cents will be added to the total.
I ordered a large Honey Milk Tea with Golden Boba, which came out to $5.12, a reasonable price, considering the size of the drink. The best part of the drink was the chewy texture of the boba. The honey, however, was hardly noticeable within the drink and was overpowered by the taste of tea. Nonetheless, the drink itself was still light and delicious; perfect as a refreshing drink on a hot day.
Overall, the shop has decent prices, quality boba, and a beautiful atmosphere, living up to the hype and expectations. I definitely recommend trying a Ding Tea store, because it is a great place to hang out with friends and have a drink. Despite how the El Monte Ding Tea is located at a farther distance from school, there is a closer shop in Alhambra.
Ding Tea’s newest shop is located at 4788 Peck Road, El Monte, California 91732 and can be reached at (626) 672-0500.
