Revised bell schedule extends passing period
After continuous feedback and requests from parents during principal discussions in October, the school revised the bell schedule for the second semester. Following a series of meetings and consultations with department chairs and the Advanced Placement administration, the passing period was extended to eight minutes, enabling students more time to prepare for their next class.
“Since the start of distance learning, I have experienced instances where my WiFi would suddenly stop working,” sophomore Yvonne Ho said. “In those five minutes, I would be panicking and rushing, trying to find what the problem is. With a longer passing period, I have been able to [notify] my teacher and [explain] my situation.”
