USC, SG collaborate on mental health research
The school and the University of Southern California (USC) will be collaborating on a research study involving modern health issues that teenagers face. This survey will provide teens an opportunity to voice their attitudes and behaviors related to current issues such as mental stressors, social media, and life events. Using this data, USC is aiming to increase awareness and fight against negative stigma around the youth.
As USC is planning to use information gathered in the next four years, this study will only involve current freshmen. However, they hope to utilize the information to “identify the needs of the students, staff, and local community and work with the school to offer resources to help meet these needs.”
