In a meeting with club advisers and Assistant Principal Jesse Toribio on Sept. 25, it was decided that new club applications will be uploaded and clubs are prohibited from fundraising. The decision was made because the district has failed to create a feasible method of collecting fundraiser proceeds.

“Students and even teachers, advisors, and myself—we are not permitted to hold onto cash,” ASB club adviser Cecilia Revilla said. “That is only to keep us safe because anything could happen. Money could get lost or taken. We do not want anyone to be liable and have any type of connection to anything that is missing.”

As of now, the district is working on implementing safe protocols to enable club fundraisers. In the next few weeks, further information about clubs and fundraisers will be available.
