Juniors and seniors will be taking the first operational administration of the California Science Test (CAST) on April 8-9 and April 10-11 respectively. From this year forward, students will be taking the CAST, alongside the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, in their junior year.
“Because what happened was when [the seniors] took it in 10th grade, it was a pilot,” Assistant Principal of School Counseling Stephanie Hall said. “So it wasn’t the actual CAST test.”
Hall is working with the school’s tech specialist to utilize the four computer labs for testing.
