When shopping, there is always something in that person’s mind, “What can I buy with the little amount of money I have?” Limited amount of money can be difficult to work with, especially when you need to purchase necessities.

I went to three different stores with the budget of $5 in each store, to see what I can get in a  daily basis.

In a small Japanese store called Miniso, with items from pencils and pens, to makeup and lamps, I wanted to buy school supplies. The purchase I made was five packs of 2B lead that is the size of 60 millimeters, one black pen, and one blue marker. The items that are purchased can be also used in our daily lives.

The lead cost $2.89, and the quality of the lead is dark and easy to write. It also had five boxes with 12 pieces of lead in each box. I was low in stock of lead, so I needed to refill before I went to school with an lead pencil with no lead.

The next two items were a pen and a double-sided marker, and they cost 99 cents. These items were purchased because they are used on daily basis, and they can be use for art, or writing on paper in pen or marker.

Going to another Japanese store. Daiso, is where almost everything in the store is approximately $1.50. I purchased a stack of small, colored papers, a scrapbook, and an A4 case. I came to the store for decorative purposes.

I bought the colored papers to decorate my future projects. Many teachers would want the project to be creative and colorful. The scrapbook is something I would use to make good memories, and it looked cute for my room to display.

The A4 case is more of a school supply item where I make things easier for me at school. Instead of taking out many things, I can have this case where it can fit my papers, pencil, erasers, and lead boxes. This will me receive my supplies faster and easier to not forget to bring with me to the next period.

In the last store, I went to the 99 Cents Store, where I bought another three items in the store. I bought two mason jar cups and a mini journal for personal purposes.

The two mason jars were items that I can use to drink out of when I’m doing homework at home. The two mason jars are also used to look nicely in display. The mini journal is something I can write my ideas in or write my homework in. Instead of buying a $9 agenda, you can buy a journal, and you can write your assignments in it.

Buying school supplies, decor, and other items can be expensive, but in some stores, these items can be sold with a cheaper price. Some stores has a big amount of the supply with cheap price, and it will work the same as if you buy a small amount with expensive price.
