Sometimes, a regular chocolate chip cookie is not enough to satisfy your stomach. Adding a hint of mint will give the cookie a nice kick and twist in the taste.

The ingredients needed for this recipe include  2 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter, 1 1/4 cups sugar, 2 eggs, 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons green food color, 1 teaspoon pure peppermint extract, and 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips. This will make about 36 servings for many people to enjoy.

Before starting the process, make sure to preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. The first step is to mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together and set it aside for later. Then, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until it is light and fluffy. Add the remaining ingredients (eggs, food color and peppermint extract) and mix well. Lastly, take the flour mixture that you set aside and gradually beat it into the wet mixture and mix well. Do not forget to stir in the chocolate chips afterwards.

After completing this process, put it in the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes. I promise that you will not be disappointed with these tasty mint chocolate chip cookies.
