Boba Milk Tea is a drink that is enjoyed all year round. People like to stay at boba spots and chill or do homework with their friends. But, at times boba milk tea can get quite expensive if you enjoy it on a daily basis. With just a few ingredients, you can recreate your own drink and personalize it to your own style at home within minutes. There are many different ways to make boba milk teas but here is a simple recipe to satisfy your cravings.

Classic Boba Milk Tea

Boba Pearls:

-½ cup boba tapioca pearl

-3 cups water

Simple syrup:

-honey or brown sugar

Milk tea:

1 tea bag (any flavor or you can mix as well)

1 cup water

  1. Boil water and put in the boba tapioca pearls. Let it boil for about 13-15 minutes or until it’s done. You will know when it is done if you taste the pearl and it is chewy or to your liking.
  2. While the boba tapioca pearls are cooking, make your simple syrup by mixing equal amounts of honey or brown sugar to the water. Leave the boba tapioca pearls in the simple syrup for at least half an hour.
  3. Take out the boba tapioca pearls and rinse with cold water. Then put the boba tapioca pearls in the simple syrup.
  4. Boil water and brew the black tea bag in hot water. After a couple of minutes, take out the tea bag and add as much or less milk as you like and use the simple syrup as a sweetener.
